As time goes by, if you follow your
own inclination and work hard only intermittently,
you will gradually lose momentum.
日子一天天过去，
你随着自己的性子，
三天打鱼，两天晒网，
久而久之就不了了之。
Drops of water pierce through
stones not in a day,
ropes and saws cut through
wood not in a day,
and three feet frozen not in a day.
滴水石穿非一日之功，
绳锯木断非一日之力，
冰冻三尺也非一日之寒。
Some people say that both
perseverance and giving up
require effort,
but the effort of the former
will make life better and the effort
of the latter will make life stagnate.
有人说:坚持和不坚持，都得吃苦，
但前者的苦会让人生越来越好，
而后者的苦则会让人生越来越停滞。
