Growing up in northern China, one of my childhood dreams was to learn how to swim. Unlike Shanghai with its abundant waterways, my hometown had no rivers nearby, and swimming pools were practically nonexistent. Even if there had been a pool, my parents wouldn't have spared a penny for swimming lessons.
我在北方长大，儿时的梦想之一就是学习游泳。与水道丰富的上海不同，我的家乡附近没有河流，游泳池几乎不存在。即使有游泳池，我父母也不会花一分钱让我上游泳课。
This dream stayed with me until I moved to Shanghai. Finally, about twelve years ago, I decided to make my childhood wish come true. I started visiting a local swimming pool, carefully watching others and trying to mimic their movements. Despite swallowing quite a bit of pool water in the process, I gradually taught myself how to swim.
这个梦想一直伴随着我，直到我搬到上海。大约十二年前，我决定实现我儿时的愿望。我去了一个游泳池，仔细观察其他人，模仿他们的动作。尽管在这个过程中喝了好几口，但我还是逐渐学会了游泳。
Today, I spend my weekends "being a frog in the water,". There's nothing I enjoy more than gliding through the pool with ease – a reminder that it's never too late to fulfill a childhood dream.
现如今，我周末就可以在游泳池里当青蛙了。没有什么比在游泳池里轻松滑翔更让我喜欢的了——这也提醒我，实现童年的梦想永远不会太晚。
